    This table lists anaerobic digestion (AD) facilities, some of which currently accept excess food as a feedstock. The data was compiled from lists maintained by US EPA's Sustainable Management of Food team and the AgSTAR program, and through data available at http://www.resourcerecoverydata.org/ and https://www.biosolidsdata.org/ as described in EPA’s 2023 publication: EPA Excess Food Opportunities Map Version 3 - Technical Methodology. This dataset contains 1,635 facilities.
